About Us
Last Syllable is a literary journal that publishes longform poetry, prose, and multi-modal works. We publish electronic issues biannually. Founded in 2023, we aim to make a space where longform pieces are the expectation — not the exception. We are looking for polished, thoughtful pieces that engage readers from beginning to end. We pay contributors $20 upon publication.
While one of Macbeth's most memorable soliloquies meditates on the fleeting and meaningless nature of mortality, writing and sharing our work makes us immortal and ensures that we will be here until the last syllable of recorded time.
